our gypsy life.

here we are again. frequently gapping in our blogging, as we are always living a beautiful, but very chaotic, life. may was busy for us as we packed up our apartment, a place that had really begun to feel like home. there was no time to be sad about it, as we were in a whirlwind of boxes and plans, and constantly chasing a baby who is really no longer that at all, but an active and curious toddler....intent on climbing everything to its highest point and putting all chokables into her mouth.
amid the flurry of packing and job juggling and toddler chasing, was an amazing wedding. our lovey friends erin kate and benny d. were married may twenty third. mike, wren, and i joyously participated in four days of celebrating (and a couple days prior of last minute details-planning and pre-celebration). simultaneously, mike and i celebrated our five year wedding anniversary on may twenty second!

needless to say, the month of may disappeared in a blink. we are now settled in our new apartment and are starting to swing into summer routine. this summer we are experiencing a cozy life in a one bedroom apartment. we are barely inside during the summer months anyway, so it should be a positive temporary arrangement..... it's a small space, but full of sunshine and light, and it is definitely easier to keep track of wren and the other kiddos(less places to hide). and less space means less stuff, which always feels good to me. we got rid of our tv and are discovering that no screen gives us more time together as a family and offers lots of opportunities for creativity. (such as mike's new lunch box collages. if you don't have one yet, you might get one soon....)

we have been enjoying the perfect weather, making use of city parks, trips to the farm, dodge nature center, boating on the river, and walking to nearby grocery stores and restaurants when we can. we are also really excited about our csa this summer. we signed up for hogsback farm (http://hogsbackfarm.com/), and will be getting weekly deliveries of gorgeous, fresh veggies. there might be photos and descriptions of csa meals we make, because we truly get really excited about them.

anyway, i am excited about our new, single blog, wren is changing every day and we have so many fun photos and stories to share about her. and i am still taking care of luna and olive this summer(with a more relaxed summertime-vaca kinda schedule). they are such wonderful "big sisters" to wren. she adores them. we are also eager to share updates on our housing search as we wait (not so patiently) for sarah and han's house to sell and begin looking for our final landing place (at least final in our terms, and you know how that is....) so, if you are interested in our sillywanderlust life, then stay tuned...we are back on the blog.
